Silico® PF8705 Silicone Diffusion Pump Fluid is a single-component fluid designed for ultrahigh vacuum applications, ranging from 10-9 to 10-10 torr (untrapped) and 10-11 torr (trapped). With low vapor pressure, minimal back-streaming, and excellent resistance to oxidation and radiation, this silicone fluid is ideal for mass spectrometers, electron microscopes, and other ultrahigh vacuum applications. It boasts the highest phenyl content of all silicone diffusion pump fluids and superior radiation resistance. Its high spontaneous ignition temperature makes it perfect for human-rated space simulation chambers. Silico® PF8705 is equivalent to DowCorning’s DC-705 and Shin-Etsu’s HIVACF-5.
