Silicone Application & Grade Matching Calculator
Find the right silicone grade for your application, substrate and performance requirements.
Silico® Technical Selection Tool
Silicone Application & Grade Matching Calculator
Find a suitable Silico® product for your application by selecting the process, required performance, substrate and material format. The tool ranks individual product grades from the published product information and links each candidate to its product detail page or verified product-range page.
Tell us about your application
Select the closest options. Add a product code, CAS number, viscosity or other technical keyword to improve the match. Results are preliminary technical candidates, not a substitute for TDS review or laboratory testing.
Recommended product matches
The products below are ranked against your selected application and technical targets.
Technical inquiry summary
Products covered by this matching tool
Use the matcher as a starting point across the seven product families. Product-level records include published descriptions and parameters where available; values should always be checked against the latest technical data sheet.
💧 Silicone Fluids
PDMS, amino-, epoxy-, vinyl-, hydrogen-, hydroxy-, phenyl-, fluoro- and polyether-modified silicone fluids for lubrication, surface modification, curing and formulation.
🧬 Silane Coupling Agents
Amino, epoxy, vinyl, methacryloxy, alkyl and specialty silanes for adhesion promotion, surface treatment, filler coupling and sol-gel chemistry.
🧱 Silicone Resins
Methyl, phenyl, vinyl and modified resin types for protective coatings, electrical insulation, heat-resistant films and electronic materials.
🧽 Silicone Rubber
HTV and LSR options for molded parts, seals, extrusion, insulation and application-specific elastomer components.
🧴 Silicone Oil Emulsions
Amino, hydroxy, hydrogen and resin emulsions for textile, leather, personal-care, release and surface-treatment applications.
🔸 Fumed Silicas
Hydrophilic and hydrophobic grades, selected according to surface area, wetting behavior, thickening, reinforcement and rheology needs.
🧩 Silicone Intermediates
D3, D4, D5, D6, DMC, MM and PDMS materials used as feedstocks or intermediates in silicone manufacturing.
Frequently asked questions
Does the tool select a guaranteed final grade?
No. It ranks candidate products by matching the application and requirements to publicly available product information. Final selection depends on the current TDS, formulation compatibility, process conditions, regulations and application testing.
Why do some results link to a product range instead of a separate grade page?
Some grades are displayed in Silico® range tables but do not have a confirmed dedicated product URL. For those results, the tool links to the verified range page and labels the link accordingly rather than inventing a single-product URL.
Can viscosity values in cSt, cP and mPa·s be compared directly?
No. cSt is kinematic viscosity, while cP and mPa·s are dynamic viscosity units. Conversion requires density and consistent measurement conditions. This tool only uses the numeric cSt filter for products with a published cSt range.
Can this tool confirm food-contact or medical compliance?
No. Food, medical, cosmetic and other regulated uses require grade-specific documentation and a review of the intended use and applicable local requirements. Do not infer approval from a general product-family description.
How can we request a more exact match?
Copy the technical inquiry summary from the results and send it to Silico® with the substrate, formulation details, target properties, processing conditions, quantity and destination market. The technical team can then confirm a grade and provide the relevant documents.
Need a confirmed grade recommendation?
Share your application, substrate, target properties and processing conditions with Silico® for technical review against the current product data sheet.
Disclaimer: This tool provides preliminary product matching for technical exploration only. Published parameters may vary by grade, lot, test method or revision. Confirm specifications, compatibility, handling, regulatory status and performance through the latest TDS/SDS and application testing before use. It does not replace professional engineering advice.
