Product Features
Silico® V421 (CAS 68083-19-2) is a methyl vinyl silicone oil with both linear and branched structures, featuring vinyl groups at both ends and along the polymer chain. Its molecular structure is:
(CH₂=CH)(CH₃)₂SiO[(CH₃)₂SiO]ₘ[(CH₂=CH)(CH₃)SiO]ₙSi(CH₃)₂(CH₂=CH)
The molecular weight can be customized based on application needs. Vinyl content and molecular weight are independently adjustable, offering enhanced formulation flexibility.

Applications
Used as a hardening agent and pre-curing diluent for high-molecular, high-viscosity silicone rubber (e.g., 110-2 grade).
Functions as a modifier for organic resins such as acrylic and vinyl acetate.
Ideal for producing high-temperature vulcanized (HTV) silicone rubber, RTV silicone rubber, and silicone gels.
Suitable for other advanced or developing applications.
Usage Guidelines
Diluent use: 10–20%
Modifier use: 5–10%
Base silicone formulation: 50–100%
To ensure uniform dispersion, add directly or use high-speed/aggressive mixing equipment.
Handling Precautions
Silico® V421 is chemically reactive. Avoid contamination during storage and handling—especially from catalysts. Check compatibility with other materials to prevent undesired reactions or product degradation.
Packaging & Storage
Packaging: Supplied in 50kg, 200kg, or 1000kg HDPE drums.
Storage: Store sealed at room temperature, away from strong acids and alkalis. Shelf life is 12 months in unopened original packaging.
Transport: Classified as non-toxic, non-hazardous for safe handling and shipping.
