Vinyltriethoxysilane (CAS 78-08-0), also known as Triethoxylvinylsilane, is a colorless to pale yellow liquid that is soluble in various organic solvents. It is widely used in polymer systems such as polyethylene, polypropylene, and unsaturated polyesters.
Vinyltriethoxysilane enhances the affinity between glass fibers, inorganic fillers, and vinyl-reactive resins. It is commonly used in silane cross-linked polyethylene cables and tubing, improving adhesion and performance.
