Introduction

Silico® SF0202 is an alkyl-aryl functional silicone fluid with medium viscosity. Its unique chemical structure combines the benefits of silicone fluids and mineral oils, making it ideal for thermal molding applications.

Silico® SF0202 is highly effective as a release agent in the molding of rubber, plastics, and low-melting nonferrous metals. It excels in applications where finished parts will be painted, printed, coated, or bonded. The fluid provides excellent release properties, even in minimal amounts, ensuring easy, precise reproduction of surface details. Additionally, it offers excellent film-forming properties, contributing to superior molding results.

Applications

  • Release Agent: Silico® SF0202 is ideal for the production of floor mats, tiles, seals, grommets, gaskets, toys, paneling, decorative trim, household appliances, and similar plastic and rubber products that are coated, painted, plated, or bonded.

  • Parting Agent: It is effective in die casting processes for aluminum, zinc, magnesium, and other metals.

  • Automotive Polish: Silico® SF0202 can be incorporated into automotive polish products for use in garages and body shops, particularly in situations where re-coatability issues may arise with polydimethylsiloxanes.

  • Built-in Lubricant: It can be used as a lubricant in mechanical component assembly and in-service lubrication.
