PM-125 Phenylmethyl Silicone Fluid

PM-125 Silicone Fluid is a clear, colorless, and odorless Phenylmethyl Silicone Oil with a viscosity of 125 cSt at 25°C. By replacing methyl groups in conventional PDMS Silicone Oils with a higher percentage of Phenyl groups, PM-125 offers significantly improved thermal stability and oxidation resistance. This fluid maintains stability at 230°C (open air) and 300°C (closed system).

Key characteristics include its high flash point, high dielectric strength, stability under extreme pressures, and excellent heat capacity. Additionally, PM-125 provides superior lubricity and is inert to virtually all substrates, making it ideal for applications requiring high performance under extreme conditions.

PM-125 Phenylmethyl Silicone Fluid: Guide

PM-125 Silicone Fluid is a high phenyl-content silicone fluid used in Flow Control, Temperature Control, and Motion Control systems. It remains stable at temperatures above 230°C (open system) and doesn’t break down at high temperatures or coagulate under high pressures, making it ideal for instruments, sensors, and devices exposed to extreme conditions.

With rapid viscosity reduction when heated, PM-125 is perfect for high-temperature laboratory baths and heat transfer systems. However, it’s not suitable for cold-temperature systems due to increased viscosity at low temperatures.

PM-125 has a refractive index (RI 1.500) higher than conventional PDMS fluids, making it an excellent choice for optical, sensor, LED, and photonics technologies.
