Silico®–N322 is a diamino-functional amino silicone oil offering softness, smoothness, gloss, and durability. It bonds with hair and textile fibers, forming a protective film. Features include hydrophobicity, lubricity, and wash resistance.
Introduction
Silico®–N322 Amino Silicone Oil is a side-chain diamino-functional amino-modified polydimethylsiloxane. Its molecular structure is as follows:
R₁(CH₃)₂SiO[(CH₃)₂SiO]ₘ[(R₂)(CH₃)SiO]ₙSi(CH₃)₂R₁
Where:
R₁ represents a methyl or hydroxyl group.
R₂ is an aminoalkyl group containing both primary and secondary amine functionalities.
This amino silicone oil retains the inherent hydrophobicity and release properties of traditional dimethyl silicone oils. Additionally, the presence of highly polar amino groups significantly enhances its reactivity, adsorption capacity, softness, lubricity, and gloss.
Silico®–N322 exhibits excellent substantivity to human hair and textile fibers such as cotton, wool, silk, and linen. It chemically bonds with active sites on the hair or fiber surface, forming a durable, protective film. This results in long-lasting softness, smoothness, enhanced shine, and improved resistance to abrasion, flexing, and repeated washing.
The product passed provincial-level appraisal in 2007, filling a technological gap in the domestic market and reaching an advanced national standard.
