Hydroxy silicone fluid, also known as silanol silicone fluid, is a hydroxyl-terminated linear polydimethylsiloxane. It is widely used as an additive, intermediate, or base polymer in multiple applications.

Low molecular weight hydroxy silicone fluid improves processing in filled silicone rubbers, preventing crepe hardening and extending storage life. It also acts as a base polymer for water repellents and as a hydrophobizing agent for fillers like silica.
