HTV Silicone Rubber FAQs
A1: HTV silicone rubber is used in applications requiring excellent thermal stability, such as seals, insulators, and molded parts for automotive and electrical industries.
A2: HTV cures under heat and offers higher mechanical and thermal performance, while RTV cures at room temperature and is easier to use for sealing and coating.
A3: Yes, Silico® offers FDA- and ISO-compliant HTV grades suitable for food contact and healthcare applications.
A4: Platinum-cured HTV provides lower shrinkage, higher purity, and better stability, making it ideal for high-precision or sensitive applications.

How to Choose Modified Silicone Resins?
Choose peroxide-cured HTV for general use with strong mechanical performance. Select platinum-cured HTV for clean curing, low shrinkage, and food or medical applications.
For high heat resistance, pick grades rated up to 250 °C or more. Use reinforced types for strength, or soft grades for flexibility.
Need oil or fuel resistance? Go with fluorosilicone (FVMQ). For low-temperature use, choose phenyl-modified (PMQ/PVMQ).
Ensure the product meets FDA, UL, or RoHS if required.
