RSO-80 Silicone Transformer Oil can withstand extremely high temperatures, well beyond normal operating temperatures, without causing excessive vapor pressure, breakdown, or the creation of corrosive by-products.
The Pure Silicone Fluids, including RSO-80, are 100% linear Polydimethylsiloxane Fluids (CAS #63148-62-9) with viscosities measured at 25°C. They are free from additives such as pour-point depressants or heat stabilizers and contain no chlorine or other halogens. Silicone fluids with viscosity greater than 5cSt are chemically inert, non-volatile, thermally stable, and have excellent oxidation resistance. They are also highly compatible with conventional insulating materials.
