Methyl DT Silicone Resin

Methyl DT Silicone Resin

ST-T Series Methyl DT Silicone Resin is a high-performance organosilicon polymer made of D (dimethylsiloxy) and T (trimethylsiloxy) units. Its branched structure offers excellent heat resistance, durability, water repellency, and insulation. Commonly used in high-temp coatings, electronics, composites, and aerospace protection.

Product Overview

Si-T Series Methyl DT Silicone Resin is a high-performance, cross-linked organosilicon polymer composed of dimethylsiloxy (D units) and trimethylsiloxy (T units). This unique D–T molecular architecture forms a highly branched, cage-like network structure with outstanding thermal resistance, mechanical stability, hydrophobicity, and electrical insulation properties.

It is widely used in high-temperature coatings, electrical insulation systems, advanced composite materials, release agents, and aerospace-grade protective coatings.

Key Properties

  • Superior Thermal Stability: Maintains structural integrity under continuous heat exposure up to 600°C, ideal for industrial and electronic applications.

  • Excellent Hydrophobicity: Provides long-lasting water and moisture resistance, enhancing surface durability in outdoor or humid environments.

  • Outstanding Electrical Insulation: Features high volume resistivity, suitable for insulating varnishes and encapsulants in motors, transformers, and PCB components.

  • UV and Weather Resistance: Resists yellowing, cracking, and degradation from prolonged UV or atmospheric exposure.

  • High Film Hardness: Forms durable, glossy films with excellent adhesion to various substrates including glass, metal, and polymer surfaces.

  • Multi-Functional Compatibility: Works well with other silicones, alkyds, epoxies, and organic resin systems.
