It plays a key role in the synthesis of vinyl and acrylate-modified silica nanoparticles, using vinyltrimethoxysilane. Additionally, it serves as a silane coupling agent for the carbon-carbon double bond modification of fluorescein isothiocyanate-modified mesoporous silica nanoparticles.
