Product Details

High-performance mold release solutions for plastics, rubber, composites, and industrial manufacturing.

Silico® offers a comprehensive range of silicone-based release agents designed to provide superior mold release performance, extend mold life, and ensure clean, smooth surfaces. These products form a low-surface-energy barrier between the mold and the part, enabling easy release and minimizing surface defects.

Our product portfolio includes silicone oil–based release agents, silicone emulsions, silicone resin systems, heat-curable semi-permanent release coatings, and hybrid blends, suitable for both conventional and high-performance molding processes.

Key Features & Advantages

  • Excellent Release Performance — Ensures clean, easy, and repeatable demolding across various substrates (steel, aluminum, silicone, composite, etc.).

  • Low Surface Energy & High Lubricity — Silicone molecules form a uniform lubricating film that minimizes sticking and surface marks.

  • Thermal & Chemical Stability — Maintains performance under high-temperature and high-pressure molding conditions.

  • Chemical Inertness — Non-reactive with most plastics, rubbers, resins, and composites, ensuring no contamination or surface defects.

  • Multiple Release Cycles — Semi-permanent systems allow for repeated demolding without frequent reapplication.

  • Customizable Formulations — Available in different viscosities, active contents, and curing mechanisms to match diverse molding needs.

  • Cost-Effective & Clean Operation — Reduces downtime, cleaning frequency, and mold maintenance costs.

Typical Applications

  • Plastic Injection & Blow Molding – Smooth release for plastic parts, films, and profiles.

  • Rubber & Silicone Molding – Consistent release during curing or vulcanization processes.

  • Composite & FRP Production – Ideal for carbon fiber, fiberglass, and resin molding applications.

  • Die Casting & Metal Molding – Excellent release at elevated temperatures.

  • Food-Grade Mold Release – Compliant options for food packaging and mold surface protection.

  • Industrial Coating & Lamination Lines – Prevents sticking during heat treatment or curing.

Usage Guidelines

  • Recommended Dosage / Application Amount:
Typically 0.5–2.0 g/m², depending on mold material and part complexity.

  • Application Methods:

    • Spraying / Aerosol: Ideal for large or complex molds.

    • Brushing / Rolling: Suitable for flat or regular-shaped molds.

    • Dip Coating / Wiping: Used where uniform film thickness is required.

    • Heat Curing (if applicable): Semi-permanent systems require curing at elevated temperatures for maximum durability.

  • Surface Preparation:

    • Ensure mold surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oil or residue.

    • Remove old release films prior to reapplication to maintain consistent performance.

  • Reapplication & Maintenance:

    • Frequency depends on mold type, product adhesion, and number of release cycles.

    • For semi-permanent systems, reapplication is needed only after film degradation.

  • Storage & Handling:

    • Store in a cool, dry place at 5–35 °C.

    • Keep away from strong oxidizers and direct sunlight.

    • Mix or shake gently before use to ensure uniform composition.

Packaging & Storage

  • 25 kg drum

  • 200 kg steel drum

  • 1,000 kg IBC tote (custom bulk packaging available)

Safety & Handling
